Japanese Late-Autumn Festival

The festival invites local families and publics interested in experiencing some Japanese art, crafts, and films through workshops and other activities.  Our contribution will be to bring Linda Hoaglund, an award winning, bilingual filmmaker born and raised in Japan who has made five films about Japanese art and the relationship between Japan and the US.  The film screening event will be on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday November 9-11.  On Sunday afternoon there will be a film for children and families with Czech subtitles, The Wound and the Gift.  The film presents a story inspired by a Japanese fable that encourages empathy and connection with nature.  

The festval is held in the cooperation with Velký mlýn, Praha 8.
