03. 08. 2026

These events, which forever changed the course of world history, continue to remind us not only of the value of human life, but also that peace and security should never be taken for granted.

On this occasion, we would like to invite you to two events taking place in Prague.
One Step Toward Peace
📅 August 8, 2:30–4:00 p.m.
📍 Velký mlýn, U českých loděnic 40/6, Prague 8
🗣️ Japanese with Czech interpretation
Come and listen to the story of the Shinagawa couple, who have travelled from Hiroshima to share their message calling for the abolition of nuclear weapons.

Grandfather and the Atomic Bomb
📅 August 9, 2:00–5:00 p.m. (doors open at 1:00 p.m.)
📍 KINO 64 U HRADEB, Mostecká 273/21, Prague 1

This gathering is inspired by the memories of Takeshi Kai, who was sixteen years old when the atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki. Through personal stories and a conversation with his grandson, participants will have an opportunity to reflect on how the memory of these events can be preserved and passed on to future generations.
