The workshop (conducted by Bidollah Aswar and Thomas Loy) deals with the history of the Baloch in Afghanistan, Iran, and Pakistan since the early 1970s. In addition to local political actors and strategies, we will examine the transregional and geopolitical interdependencies and the changes in the Baloch's tribal structure, culture, and political economy over the last half-century.
