Along with Daniela Bevilacqua (CRIA) and Lucian Wong (OCHS), James Madaio is co-organizing an interdisciplinary workshop entitled Self in Motion: Transformative Practice in South Asian Traditions in Lisbon at the Centro em Rede de Investigação em Antropologia (CRIA). The workshop brings together anthropologists, philosophers, and historians of religion to examine transformative practices across Hindu, Sikh, Jain, Islamic, and Buddhist traditions in South Asia.
